Carroll VanHook-Weaver

Carroll VanHook-Weaver is Senior Director, Leasing at JVM, leading leasing strategy, systems, and customer experience to drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention. She oversees process optimization for seamless integration of technology with on-site execution.

With 16 years in student housing and multifamily—and 27 years in customer service—Carroll has led 14 new-construction lease-ups and four rebranding acquisitions, supporting portfolios totaling over 60,000 beds across 35 U.S. markets. She is known for disruptive leasing strategies and building national partnerships with major institutions.

Carroll is an award-winning industry leader recognized by Vidyard, Nashville Scene, AZ RED Media, and ULI, and a 2025 Builder Innovator Summit keynote panelist. She co-founded a corporate housing division generating $4M in year one and $10M in year two, co-created the Kenect the Dots podcast, led national influencer campaigns, and actively recruits young professionals into multifamily. 

Prior to joining JVM, Carroll served as Director of Leasing and Marketing at Akara Partners, where she helped launch and scale Kenect., gaining deep experience in flexible living and workplace models while driving multiple revenue streams and a hospitality-driven resident experience.
