Community JVM Makes Big Impact with Recent Kansas City Blood Drives September 6, 2018

Giving blood is one of the simplest and most powerful things a person can do to help those in need.

According to the American Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the U.S. requires a blood transfusion, whether it’s for a surgery, cancer treatment, a chronic illness or a traumatic injury. Just one blood donation can save up to three lives.

Over the past month, JVM Realty helped address these critical needs by hosting seven blood drives at its luxury apartment communities in the Kansas City area. Donors included onsite associates, residents, vendors and people from the surrounding neighborhoods.

Overall, the drives collected 135 units of blood, which will help save up to 405 lives. The result surpassed JVM’s goal of 126 units, 18 per community.

“We are tremendously pleased with the results of our blood drives,” said Jay Madary, president and CEO of JVM. “Giving back to local communities is one of the foundations of our corporate philosophy, and our teams worked very hard to organize and execute these events. We are touched that so many people took the time to extend a helping hand to those in need.”

“At JVM, we are dedicated to practicing true corporate social responsibility,” added Ashish Kapoor, vice president of human resources for JVM. “We’ve made it our mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us while also being a great place to work and a provider of quality luxury apartment homes.”
